To launch KFC’s messiest, most Finger Lickin’ Good chicken ever, we handed the job to AI.

Specifically, the part AI is famously terrible at—Fingers.

Instead of fixing the mistake, we made it the point. We released a batch of AI-generated posters, then invited people to see just how many fingers they could get AI to spit out themselves. We shared prompts, turned Meta’s AI tools loose on Instagram, and let the internet do what it does best.

People went wild. Hands got weird. Fingers multiplied. Thousands of them.

We didn’t correct the mistake. We seasoned it.
