McDonald’s: Dollar Menunaire

The Dollar Menunaire wasn’t just a campaign.
It was a character.

A long, long, long time ago when Flash ruled the internet, my copywriting partner and I created Paul, the self-appointed financial guru behind the Dollar Menunaire lifestyle. There was no budget. Just the two of us, a lot of late nights, and the belief that the right personality could carry the idea.

My partner wrote and voiced Paul. I designed, illustrated, coded and animated him.

Paul showed up everywhere. Video, Flash, rich media, in-game units, radio, and print. I built the interactive experiences myself, turning him into someone you could actually hang out with while he calmly explained why you were overspending.
